PBS Michiana – WNIT Celebrates National Recognition
PBS Michiana – WNIT has earned national recognition at the 58th Annual NETA Public Media Awards, receiving five nominations and three awards for excellence in programming, community engagement, and communications.
The station's winning projects include South Bend: Built by Baseball (Cultural Feature), The Voting Minute (News & Public Affairs), and Tiny Tee Off (Local Project).
Two additional projects received nominations: the PBS Michiana – WNIT Community Impact Report (Annual Report) and The EdCounts Podcast (Podcast).
Presented by the National Educational Telecommunications Association (NETA), the Public Media Awards celebrate outstanding achievements among public media organizations nationwide.
These honors reflect the creativity, dedication, and collaborative efforts of the PBS Michiana team, whose work brings local stories to life, encourages civic participation, and strengthens community connections.
